This hardware deployment is running in parallel with the rollout of the ‘Augmented Makeline’—developed with Hyphen—which automates the assembly of digital bowl and salad orders. Together, this tech stack represents a massive paradigm shift in restaurant operations. By offloading repetitive, low-value prep tasks to machines, Chipotle is redirecting its human capital toward high-touch customer service and complex culinary finishing.
